upgrade error the module has not been instantiated

Post by SolsWebdesign »

Hi, I upgraded a site from 2.13 to 2.2.1 and apparently forgot to update a couple of modules :-(

Now it says in the module manager with some modules status : "This module is awaiting upgrade" but the upgrade link will not work. If I manually paste the link in the browser I get the following error "Internal error, the module has not been instantiated"

I've already checked permissions (seems not to be the issue and the upgrade actually went fine) and emptied cache. I even downloaded the modules from CMS Made Simple Forge Downloads Modules, unpacked them and uploaded them to the modules directory. But Module Manager still says the modules are awaiting upgrades and does not alter the version number either.

For now I'm stuck :-\ Does anybody have a clue what could be wrong here?

If I double click on "upgrade" I get this error:

"The CMSMS core must be upgraded before this operation can succeed"

But the upgrade to 2.2.1 was successful...

I even did a repair install/upgrade with no luck :-(
