Can't access / change admin folder

Hi,
i want to rename the admin folder, so i changed the config file like this:
$config['admin_dir'] ='mynewname';
Then changed the name "admin" to "mynewname" with ftp. I cleared then the cache manually by ftp.
But when trying to access the new admin : "http://www.myserver.net/mysite/mynewname" i got "http://www.myserver.net/mysite/mynewnam ... /login.php". If y delete "admin" in the url i got a blank page...
Domain is set : $config['root_url'] = "http://www.myserver.net/mysite";
But when the hosting support team does the same thing it works !! (i noticed that the folder renamed has 02755 right access, and when i rename 0755)

Problem solved, if i use sFtp it works (instead of old ftp method) !
