Theme that works well viewing with smart phones?

Post by cocacoca »

I am looking for a skin/theme that will handle various smart phone displays well. Small displays, say between 5" and 6.5" with various resolution.

What I noticed is that many sites are solely optimized for pc viewing experience, and if you visit with a smart phone navigation can be problematic, or menus don't work well, don't fold out correct or is somehow troublesome to use.

Is there any themes that out-of-the-box works well with smart phones? The newest ones got that 18:9 ratio display, and most of the smart phones with displays > 5" got at least full HD displays, some even got Quad HD displays of 1440 x 2880 like the Pixel 2 XL.

Is there themes that take advantages of the higher screen resolutions on some smart phones, while still presenting a usable for 1080 x 1920 displays?

What I am after is a good starting point that I can mess around with to set color and graphics yet one that have proven to work well on 5" - 6.5" displays of various screen resolution. That will have well working menus that is easy to read, and easy to use/navigate even on small smart phone displays.

If you're looking for a theme specifically built for CMSMS, there are some responsive themes at https://themes.cmsmadesimple.org/

Two of our sponsors, http://www.cmstemplatebuddy.com/ and https://easythemes.ca/ specialize in responsive themes for CMSMS.

If you can't find one you like on those sites, it's not difficult to adapt any theme for any other cms (or static site) to CMSMS. Just search for the one you like, then adapt it with Smarty tags. You can use our hire-a-dev program if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.
