Why is this called CMS?

Why on earth is this software called CMS, let alone CMS Made Easy. You have to dive into the freaking code just to change out the logo for christ's sake. The only thing you can manage are the page contents, everything else is manual labor.

CMS stands for Content Management System. I'm not sure what else to tell you.

I advise you to try Typo3.
that is also called a CMS.
On sourceforge.net or github you can find about 300+ open source CMS's.
