I am looking for a module that would allow easy upload of a thumbnail and description. It would then be displayed on a page with all (or a portion of) all the thumbnails with the description beside.
The goal is to allow an animal rescue society to upload current animals that are available for adoption with a little blurb about the animals.
Any ideas on what module would work best for this?
Thanks!

Re: Thumbnail list
Important question: would those uploaders be users with a CMSMS backend account? Or would they be users with an frontend account (e.g. Front End Users module). Or maybe those are just anonymous users?

Re: Thumbnail list
Assuming the answer to velden's quesion is back end users, I would use http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/lise
You could then set up suitable fields (one or more being images), maybe animal type, sex, age or whatever and then set up a simple summary template and details page showing when people click the thumbnail. You could also add a status field - available or taken. The summary view could then only show those animals that are available.
LISE is very flexible.
