Ok, so heres what I would like to do. Currently made a system via front page with stock eta's, needed information, file links and so forth. The problem is, would like to create an intranet with things like a digital message pad, stock eta which is accessible via any machine, any user. This would need to be fast by pulling of information via our network server and easy for all users.
Would this program be easy to use? I have a little HTML/ CSS experience but nothing fantastic.
Any help is appreciated.
Many thanks
Nigel
Intranet system needed.... (With a bit of help)
Re: Intranet system needed.... (With a bit of help)
Nigel,
You mentioned the F word on the forum...... Front Page - this has got to be the worst HTML editor ever devised. M$ keep pushing and bundling it free with different software because it is not used by anyone in the industry. The whole point of CMSms is that you need no software it is all web based and it creates clean code which complies with W3c standards.
I have no doubt you would be well served by CMSms for almost any deployment on an Intranet or Internet. However, the specific coding to create dynamic DB interrogation to display company data would have to be created using bespoke code placed in either the templates or the contents.
