Making templates/stylesheets that come with the installation uneditable

Post by RonnyK »

Would it be an idea to have the templates and stylesheets, as well as the templates within the modules uneditable. This would make it possible (or even required) for modulemakers to update those in case of an upgrade. I've seen several times that those aren't touched in case of an upgrade, leaving you with the original templates, after an upgrade.

If this feature was available, a post-install-message could mention the change of some default files, making it visible for the user, where he can check, what is different compared to before the upgrade. An user can use the default files that come with the installation (which will allways be the one belonging to the installation), or if he wants changes, he must pull a copy and change that, but the default one will be the default.
