Hello davemies,
the date format can be set in GlobalSettings, where the dateformat is available. In the help of News is a parameter to set it specifically for the News call. The GlobalSettings one is used throughout the system, the other is call-specific.
When Finnish is selected in the backend, that locale is used WHEN installed. Check if the finnish locale is available at your server.
