How do I use the forge for translations

Have a translation or something? It goes here. This can mean modules, documentation, or CMSMS itself!

How do I use the forge for translations

Post by jah »

I'm struggeling a bit with how to use the forge for the translation projects. I have read the docs but, still  I cannot really figure out how things are meant to work.

Up until now translators are using svn for the translation of the admin and official modules. When browsing svn i can see that this structure has been reorganised to the forge structure for translation projects.

In the forge there is a "Files" tab for each project where the release of translation files should go. Should the admin and official module translations be added there? What would the reason for doing this be?

What is the link between files in SVN and files under the "Files" tab? Is this a manual process.

I can see that there are different approaces for publishing of lang files for the different translation projects. It would be nice if there was some kind of standard. E.g:
  • Naming of packages and files
  • Content of files
  • Format of files (zip, gzip, rar...)

Thanks,

Jon
