Hello All.

In keeping with our promise to provide critical bug, and security support for the CMSMS 1.x series until September 2016; Today we are releasing a new version of CMSMailer for CMSMS 1.12.1 that addresses a security concern.

The changes in CMSMailer 5.2.14 are to upgrade the embedded phpmailer script to version 5.2.14 to address security concerns that some of our users have become aware of.

We are distributing this security release in the form of a new version of the CMSMailer module. We determined that there is no need at this time for a full release of the CMSMS 1.12 series for this single change.

CMSMailer 5.2.14 should be available in module manager within the next few hours. those in a hurry can download the module directly from our forge at: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/cmsmailer

Note: The only time we issue separate releases for core modules is when the changes are minor affect only that module's code.

If we determine the need for another release in the 1.12 series then this fix will automatically be included in the next full release.

Note: This module should not used with CMSMS 2.x as it could cause more harm than good, and would not completely solve the security issue. We are currently testing a new release of the CMSMS 2.1 branch for release soon.

We encourage you to upgrade CMSMailer at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time, and have fun with CMSMS.
