Looks nice. Honestly, I don't even want to mess with it anymore, since we're going to have a custom theme in the near future anyway -- and I'm trying not to break our installed mods. Half of it might be my lack of understanding of this system yet, but since it's a busy forum, I'm trying to keep from breaking things too much just for looks.

Thanks a lot Ted, that is really helpful. I already updated the new wiki, as far as I can see the old wiki is no longer needed (noone else contributed on 31th december).

Something else, I discovered a CSS-thing concerning the wiki.
In the old wiki an active menu item looks like:
Image and Image
In the new wiki it looks like:
Image and Image

Does anybody know how to split up the rss feeds per section?

All new posts in a rss feed works like: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/feed.php I only want to see the Dutch board and Announcements.
The individual forum feeds are there to, they should be in the auto-notify on that forum page. For the dutch board it is http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/feed.php?f=13

Great, thanks. I'll leave it up for the moment, just in case DrCss wants to grab any CSS/image assets he might need. Otherwise, I'll just assume it's dead and it'll go when the old server it put to rest.

I know that mods are not so "pleasant" to implement by phpBB, however, probably, sometimes later you can look into this mod Primary Notify This mod can significantly reduce the load of board and improve performance. It puts the text of the post in the email notification (like it was in SMF). Means, there is no need to open board page to read new reply as it is already included in the notification.

Interesting. I'll check it out.

Consider it a tribute to your nick. ;)

Yes, thats the lang plugin bug I mentioned in my post. It only shows on some pages. I think I have to rewrite the plugin to get it to work properly, since Mediawiki restructured some stuff.

Is there any way to collapse a set of boards, as there was in SMF?
I'm not interested in having the International boards listed in my view, as they don't really apply to me.

Normally, own search in boards is half as good as Google search. I think that phpBB search will be soon replaced by Google search as it was in SMF. You can use

TinyMCE site:forum.cmsmadesimple.org

in Google search to get it right now.

However, Ted, there are 45.000 links in Google that are broken now. See my example of yesterday:
index.php?topic=48274.0 -> found in Google should point to viewtopic.php?t=48274
You are going to loose these links, they drop from index every day, if you do not fix redirecting URLs. Sorry, I can imagine that there is a lot to do for you now. However, Google does not care about it, it just deletes links page by page :(

user53 wrote:I think there is a search issue:
When trying to find posts concerning TinyMCE you get:
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: tinymce.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.
That's of course not very helpful. Can this be fixed somehow?
Thank you.
I switched the search to by mysql based, so it doesn't have a "common word" threshold.

I'm striking out on this one. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get it to work. At the moment, I have:

Code: Select all

rewrite index\.php\?topic=([0-9]+)\.0 /viewtopic.php?t=$1 permanent;
I think I have the rest working correctly. Their rules are:

Code: Select all

rewrite index\.php\/topic,([0-9]+)\.msg([0-9]+)\.html /viewtopic.php?t=$1#p$2 permanent;
rewrite index\.php\/topic,([0-9]+)\.0\.html /viewtopic.php?t=$1 permanent;
rewrite index\.php\/board,([0-9]+)\.0\.html /viewforum.php?f=$1 permanent;

I am not a regex animal :) I have tested it, just delete the leading / in front of /viewtopic... and it seems to be OK. Sometimes, it just the order of the rewriting rules, means that URL is already matched by previous regex. ???

Ok, it's working now. It's not perfect, because it's pulling the topic= in as well, but it works enough for me. The final rules ended up being:

Code: Select all

  location ~ ^/index.php {
    if ($args ~ "topic=([0-9]+)") {
      set $topic_id $1;
      rewrite ^/index\.php /viewtopic.php?t=$topic_id permanent;
    }
    rewrite index\.php\/topic,([0-9]+)\.msg([0-9]+)\.html /viewtopic.php?t=$1#p$2 permanent;
    rewrite index\.php\/topic,([0-9]+)\.0\.html /viewtopic.php?t=$1 permanent;
    rewrite index\.php\/board,([0-9]+)\.0\.html /viewforum.php?f=$1 permanent;
    break;
  }

It is just for new users it is to help prevent spam. Once you have ten post, then they won't have to be approved.
