Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5.4

Post by calguy1000 »

This is just a small maintenance release that fixes a couple of annoying bugs:

a) The logout/session issue should now be resolved permanently.
b) The problem with errors in preview on new installs because of some bad logic in the default templates has been fixed.

Diff packages are available (they are very small) to allow you to quickly upgrade your 1.5.3 site to 1.5.4.

This is an optional upgrade.  If you're not experiencing problems with the logout/session issue, then staying at 1.5.3 for a while should be fine.

yeah, because point b only effects new installs.... we don't go through and edit already installed templates on an upgrade.

After upgrading from 1.4.1 to 1.5.4, I got this error message, that I cannot remove:

Du har 1 varsel du ikke har tatt stilling til
News Du har 0 Nyhetsartiklersom ikke er publiserte

When clicking the link, I am prompted to login again, and when done,
returned to the admin main page.

Hi

Du har 1 varsel du ikke har tatt stilling til
News Du har 0 Nyhetsartiklersom ikke er publiserte
This is Norwegian and means:
...
You have 0 News articles that are not published.

Just add a new article..
Why this is shown in Norwegian?, no idea..

Probably showing in Norwegian, while your UserPreferences are set to show the backend in Norwegian....

It is showing in Norwegian because it is the language of this site,
and there is a minor error in the translation (missing space between "Nyhetsartikler" and "som")

Adding a new article does not solve the problem.

This is part of the new Dashboard notifications, but it should only be shown when you have one or more News articles not published.  You can choose to ignore Dashboard notifications from the various modules in the User Preferences, but this will only hide your problem, not fix it.
