Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Just tested, and my 1.5beta works with FEU. I have to say that I run the SVN version of FEU there, so cant tell for sure that there is no issue, but over here it works...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Quick question... saw the first beta for 1.5 notification late, and now that testing is under way, is it better to test beta 1, test what's in svn, or wait for the second beta?

I don't think for the second beta

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Sorry, didn't phrase my question properly. FEU does indeed work in v1.5beta1, but the method suggested by calguy to allow logged in members of different groups to access various groups' pages (as described in an earlier post here) does not seem to work. It works perfectly in v1.4.1, but doesn't in v1.5beta1.
Also, if anyone's using the EnhancedXSPF module, when adding songs to a playlist in 1.5beta1, clicking the submit button kicks me out of Admin and displays the CMSms Admin login page again. This doesn't happen in v1.4.1.

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Thank you for this new release and community beta testing.
Beta testing CMSms 1.5-beta1
Use case : simple new install (from scratch), not much admin tasks.
Downloaded base package (not full package) + fr language pack.
SSH install to Debian Lenny (still 'Debian Testing' today).
lighty 1.4.19 and PostgreSQL 8.3.
Installation in a sub sub sub directory.
I confirm there is a unnecessary sr_YU.nls.php file.
Step 1 : checksuming not tested.
Step 2 : bug ?
Everything is "green or above" except 4 yellows :
-max_execution_time is 30, not 60.
-post_max_size is 8M, not 10M.
-upload_max_filesize is 2M, not 10M.
-magic_quotes are On. Culprit ?
CMSms 1.4.1 installs and runs OK in the same context.
CMSms 1.5-beta1 fails install step 2 with $lang['install_test_failed'].
Nevermind, the installer let me continue, so I continue.
Step 6 : bug ?
Everything is OK except ALL index creations. My PostgreSQL 8.3 server is standard Debian.
Step 7 : bug ?
From the first(?) time I've tried to click on "install additionnal modules" right from the installer. It takes me to the login screen. May be I'd tried this in the 1.1 or 1.2 era and it took me inside the admin in the Module Manager.
I activate Javascript only on the login screen. Login OK.
Admin OK, I go to Module Manager.
I try to install Calguy's Products :
ERROR: The CGExtensions module could not be found. (in red).
I clic and CGExtensions downloads and installs.
I clic and Products downloads and installs OK now.
No problem completing with modules "Cart" and "Orders".
I add CGFeedMaker and Calendar too.
Admin log out. Front surf OK.
Admin "double" login bug, or I mistyped.
TinyMCE works OK (only simple editing tested).
Now I should test pretty URLs with Core, News, Calendar and Products.
This is not in depth testing but I hope I've at least raised (or confirmed) the magic_quotes and the PostgreSQL indexes issues. Hope it helps.
Pierre

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Update : from PostgreSQL log it seems a create table with primary key implicitly creates an index hence the (double) creation of the index fails.

Hi,
This is worse all the messages are using html enties like "'Êtes-vous sûr ..."
into all the files you have modified
On last SVN rev 5260 messages are Ok but ...Layout » Templates » Current Associations

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Hello Alby,
Pierre M.
Silly me needs svn assistance : I've tried to extract a working copy with RapidSVN and SVN Workbench from http://svn.cmsmadesimple.org/svn/cmsmadesimple/trunk according to http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php ... vn_version and it doesn't look like a 1.5beta because version.php has "2.0-svn" inside. What am I missing ? bad URL ?alby wrote: Can you repeat same test but with svn?

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Hi, according to date of last update it seemes to me, that correct branch must be 1.2.x. So correct URL should be
http://svn.cmsmadesimple.org/svn/cmsmad ... ches/1.2.x
Hope that helps,
Milhaus

Yes, this is the correct urlMilhaus wrote: ... that correct branch must be 1.2.x
I have not tested too in PGSQL

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Thank you Milhaus and Alby.
http://svn.cmsmadesimple.org/svn/cmsmad ... ches/1.2.x works although the /install seems special (link?) but I have gotten a "working copy". Now I should try it.
BTW, I tried first http://svn.cmsmadesimple.org/svn/cmsmad ... -1.5-beta1 thinking I was clever, but failed
BTW2, before I go back to testing, offtopic : this branching and merging difficulties remind me of the git thread.

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.5-beta1
Hello again,
I've tried svn (I think) with the same setup.
1°)Same problem as above for step 2. Problem with magic quotes ON ?
FYI the (previous) PostgreSQL log seems to tell there are glitches with quotes but it works however.
2°)Step 6 : same index issue.
3°)Step 7 : new error :
