Well - I think I've got closer to understanding the problem.

If I use {capture assign=whatever} and then try and view {$whatever} in the preview window, it does not appear. I believe.

Not worked out how to get around this yet.

Any ideas?

In one of my templates, I want to use the uploadpath from config.php to check if a file exists.

Is there a way of retrieving config variables within Smarty templates these days? I seem to recall Calguy saying this kind of thing was being phased out, (but I could be mistaken).

Hi On M&C factory (2.104) - I wanted to know how to set the start and end year parameters in a date field. ie - if you want to input someones birthday, you dont want to start at the current year, as is the default. I have had the same issue - and have resolved it using Advanced Content and now GBFilePicker. Now I give no-one access to the troublesome filepicker and image manager - out of harms way.
