Re: [Problem] News-module + showing latest 3 news-posts
It sounds like a problem in your summary template. If you post that here, we can take a look at it.

Re: Mark-up standards in Modules
@ NaN: I agree, but I think this should be a later step. First step is to make sure that the mark-up is valid, and accessible; next steps, that it is meaningful, and consistent.
I'm offering my time to do this, but I haven't heard anything back from developers yet.

Re: Mark-up standards in Modules
The idea that all modules should have a standard like "e.g. all input elements of type text could get the classname "textinput". That's not really what I'm referring to; I don't mean at this stage to standardise class names and IDs. What I mean is to make sure that all HTML that is o...

Re: Mark-up standards in Modules
When I filed a bug in one of the modules, saying that the mark-up it produced wasn't valid or accessible, I did not expect to get the reply that it wasn't an issue because the user could sort it out afterwards! GOOD MARK-UP IS ESSENTIAL TO A GOOD WEBSITE. I am sure the developers of CMSMS wouldn't w...

Using Google Charts to visualise search relevance
I just wrote a blog post with a short tip on using Google's Chart API to add some easy visualisation to the 'relevance' given in Search results: http://www.broken-links.com/2008/08/08/visualizing-search-relevance-with-google-charts/ I'll add it to the Wiki shortly, although I need to create a new pa...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple v1.4 "Jamaica"
That's the fourth fix, I believe; doesn't that warrant a 1.4.1 release?RonnyK wrote:The fix alby pointed you at, was not for your issue.... I will post those files later, for you to test....

Re: Search don't return results with special chars
If you search for "testa" there are no results because the word in the database is "testã", which is not the same. If you search for "testã", the correct result should be returned. The CMSMS search is not as sophisticated as Google, so it doesn't recognise character alt...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple v1.4 "Jamaica"
Thanks, Calguy. Will the fixed script be in alll future downloads of 1.4, or will we have to apply this fix to every copy we download? I'm not sure that this is worth a 1.4.0.1 release (because then I'd have to write a new script to generate diff releases). Haven't there been releases before with ju...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple v1.4 "Jamaica"
In the end I just chaged the template to say {stylesheet}, making sure the style was linked to the template, and it worked fine. That's not an ideal solution, though, because it means creating more templates. I want to have as few templates as possible and use individual stylesheets on some; {if $p...

[solved] stylesheet 'name' parameter no longer works after upgrade to 1.4
On two sites which were upgraded from 1.3.1 to 1.4, the name="" parameter in the stylesheet tag no longer works. This is a fairly major problem, so if you use this parameter in your site please think twice before upgrading.

Re: Background image in page
Two things:
1. This forum's description says "Not for help questions".
2. Are you sure that a help forum for a content management system is the best place to be asking questions like this?
Sorry if I sound rude, but I'm certain you could find the answer to this with a little more effort.

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple v1.4 "Jamaica"
Have just found a rather large problem with one of my installs; {stylesheet name='Name'} no longer works. Have tried a number of different tests, so far to no avail; it's just stopped working since upgrading to 1.4.

Re: Open Source CMS Market Share ... and what about CMSMS?
What is this "killer module" feature CMSms is missing now ? Look at what Drupal has for leading modules; CCK, which allows you to create new content types and add fields to existing ones; Views, which allows you to organise and display your data in a variety of different ways. I like usin...
