Re: Pretty URLS running .... but... one question!
This worked fine for me - but I'd like to get the title of the article in both the page title and the URL.  I had the news title in the page title following the modifications described here - http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,16646.0.html But this approach depends on using a detail page...

Re: RSS URL from News->makerssbutton does not include category parameter
Sorry - I should have included everything in my original reply. Here's more details: my 2 news categories are devblog and news. On my blog page I have: {news makerssbutton='true' category='devblog*' } and {news category='devblog*' moretext='More...' detailpage='developer-blog-article'} on my news pa...

Re: RSS URL from News->makerssbutton does not include category parameter
Pierre - I'm using CMSMS 1.2.2 and News 2.6.1. To recreate it, you can create 2 news categories and a couple news items. Then put the {news category="cat1"} on one page and {news category="cat2"} on another page, and another {news} tag on each page with the makerssbutton="tr...

RSS URL from News->makerssbutton does not include category parameter
I'm not sure if this is a bug or just something I don't know how to fix. I'm using news for 2 purposes - as a blog and also for regular news. I'd like to make an RSS feed for the blog news items, but not the regular news items. So I've got them in different categories. Displaying the different categ...

Re: Problems With News 2.5.1 Database Templates in CMSMS 1.2
Are you using pretty URLs for news? I couldn't get the news templates to be applied after I made some modifications to use pretty URLs for news items. The only way I found to get the templates to take effect was to remove the rewrite rule I added in the .htaccess file for the news items.  There is p...

Menu manager - haschildren ignores 'show in menu' setting
I'm using the default manu manager menu template, and it is indicating that a menu item has children pages (by showing the arrow image to the right of the menu text) when the child pages have the 'show in menu' setting false. Is there a way to make the 'haschildren' property take the 'show in menu' ...

[solved] Show excerpt of news detail if summary does not exist
I have some users who don't always enter a summary for the news items they create. Most do, but some don't. If a news item does not have a summary, the default template displays the entire article, and this looks bad on the summary page.  I made a couple small changes to the summary template to disp...

Re: Horizontal CSS Menu IE7 Problem (2nd Child Fails)
I had the same problem, but looking at your CSS mine may have been caused by something else. I made the background of the 2nd and 3rd level menu items semi-transparent using an opacity: 0.9; setting. This worked fine in FF (although the 3rd level menu was more transparent than the 2nd level menu). B...

Re: Form builder HTML Mail CSS question
I think you just need to change the embedded CSS in the HTML email template. I just happened to find where to set this. Edit the 'send form to this email address' field in the form. Then you'll see 2 tabs, Main, which has the email address where mail is sent, and Advanced Settings, which contains th...

Re: SiteMapMadeSimple 1.0
I installed the site map module, and it worked fine. Then I turned on pretty urls using the mod-rewrite method, so all my page names changed. In the sitemap module Info tab, the new (pretty) page names are used, but the physical sitemaps.xml file hasn't been updated, and still has the old "inde...
