Re: ListIt2 - safe maximum list items?

Many thanks Stikki, for your detailed reply. We will be using pagination, and the fact that you've tested up to 20,000, makes me confident that ListIt2 will be more than capable in handling our requirements.

Thanks again.

ListIt2 - safe maximum list items?

Hi all,

got a new project in the pipeline, and am wanting to use ListIt2, but was wondering how many list items the module can safely handle?

I've read elsewhere that it has its limits - but could it be used for 1500 nodes/items for example?

Thanks in advance

Re: FEU Password reset

Thanks janb, for getting back. Here's some version numbers: CMS Made Simple 1.6.7 "Teremba Bay" FrontEndUsers 1.8.1 -  Has Dependents (CustomContent, SelfRegistration, Forum) SelfRegistration 1.3 I've tried using the Redirection options in FEU Prefs, but only to see if I can get things to ...

Re: What module do I need?

Thanks michaywood. I'm a designer too, which is partly why I use jQuery. It might be worth looking at if you get the time, then you'll be able to add this kind of thing to most CMS's. Drupal for example, uses the jQuery library by default. Sorry I can't be of any more help with your immediate problem.

Re: What module do I need?

Do you know jQuery? You could just build this manually and add it to a page or template?

I've used the jQuery 'Cycle' plugin to do similar things:

Here's what I did with it, this is using CMSMS:

Re: FEU Password reset

spent a couple of days trying to solve this, no luck. Can anyone help? Maybe I can explain better. When a 'user' presses the Submit button after filling-in the reset password form, a page appears (returned) without the HTML head element, and no content? What is supposed to happen after they submit? ...

FEU Password reset

After the user is directed (via email) to a page to reset their password, the page where they insert the new password twice. After the user submits that form they are taken to an incomplete page (broken)? When I look at the source of this page the whole section is missing? This means no external CSS...

Uploads Mod - downloads have wrong EXT (have .htm not .pdf)

Can't seem to get downloads (via Uploads Mod) to download with the correct extension. I have this in a page: {cms_module module="Uploads" category="LOC Essentials" mode="link" upload_id="1"} When user clicks link, the file is offered for download but it has an...

Re: [done]Digital Downloads

Sorry to but-in on your thread, but this is similar to something I've been looking to do. Can you expand a bit on what you mean, would this URL property be a hidden 'custom field' in Products? How is the value of this property passed to the email that's sent to the customer after payment? Many thanks.

Re: Expiry Date on Self-Registration doesn't match that set in FEU

Many thanks cwboaze, for all those code references. Really helpful! The ability to change the default expiry date on SelfRegistration was important. I was going to abandon the confirmation email scenario, but the latest version of SelfRegistration now supports pretty URLs, so I might give it another...

Re: Expiry Date on Self-Registration doesn't match that set in FEU

Thanks Vilkis, I am using pretty URLs and I noticed the 'release notes' on Self-Registration mentions pretty URLs. I'm using 'heirarchy' and 'page_extension' as part of that too. But I'd still like to know if I can tweak those settings ({$url} {$smallurl}) if it still doesn't work? Is there a fix fo...

Hi Vilkis, thanks for getting back.

Think I'm using the latest:

SelfRegistration v1.2.6
on CMSMS 1.6.7 "Teremba Bay"

[SOLVED] Expiry Date on Self-Registration doesn't match that set in FEU

In FEU prefs I've set the 'Default user expiry period' to 12 months, however when someone self registers (via Self-Registration) that user's expiry date defaults to five years? Can these 2 expiry dates be synchronised? I'm also having problems with Self-Registration, in that it sends the wrong URL i...

Best method for Paid Subscription - FEU and PayPal?

Is there a way to set-up a paid subscription service, so an area of the website is only available to paid members? I'm presuming FEU is the best option to create restricted content, but I'm not sure how to ensure only people who have paid can gain access. I need this to be instant access too, so tha...

Re: CMSMS version 1.6 and 1.6.4 with slow to load contnet

Found a fix that worked for me on another thread:

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 509.0.html

Basically says, rename your templates_c DIR and create a new one, making sure you set the correct permissions.
