I just tried to install the Feedback Form Module (v- 0.9.15) and it is telling me that "Maximum CMSMS Version Supported = 1.0.5"

Is there a way to create a feedback form with 1.2 that doesn't rely on this module?

Are you saying create a template and page that only has search on it? If so, I tried that and the search doesn't return anything it just refreshes the search and submit boxes.

I had a similar problem where I couldn't get changes to the config file to stick. Then I remembered one of the last statements in the install instructions that said to set the permissions on the file to 444 - which gives no one write access. 

Could this be your problem?

Hmm, it appears to have been a separator that I had played with when I first installed CMSMS. With the Andreas03 template the separator looks like an empty menu item rather than a bar. Guess I'll have to play with that style some before using it. I've used CMS-type software before to build 2 directo...
