BrowserTools Plugin - version detection
I have been testing the BrowserTools plugin and discovered a problem with the 'version number' I am using cms 1.6.6 on a Mac and testing with Safari and several versions of Firefox. BrowserTools returns the correct version for Firefox but not Safari. For Safari, it returns the webKit number. As a re...

Re: CGFeedback - "Hello Huston, we have a problem'
Thanks ajprog I tried your suggestion and changed the code to: Comments {CGFeedback action='default' commenttemplate='gkd_comment_form' destpage='thankyou'} {CGFeedback action='summary' summarytemplate='gkd_summary' } After a lot of experimentation I find that the parameter "destpage='thankyou'...

CGFeedback - "Hello Huston, we have a problem'
I used the following code on both the CGBlog pages and other pages not related to the CGBlog: {CGFeedback commenttemplate="gkd_comment_form" } Comments {CGFeedback action='summary' summarytemplate='gkd_summary' destpage='thankyou'} The goal is to provide a common 'Thank You' page for all C...

Re: CGBlog Clarification
Hi tyman00 When I started this post I was using CGBlog 1.01. Within a few hours of CGBlog 1.2 being released at the forge I downloaded and installed it. Unfortunately, the problems referred to in my last post persist. 'categories' vs' category' - if you use 'category in the template (as in the defau...

Re: CGBlog Clarification
Hi Charmie There are several posts regarding the 'category/categories' problem. The author uploaded a new version on the forge yesterday and that may provide a cure. I have tried both BlogMadeSimple and CGBlog. I combined CGBlog is CGFeedback (as was suggested by a poster) to get a reasonable small ...

Re: CGBlog Clarification
RonnyK, thanks
I appreciate the insights into how this module works. The 'help' that comes with the module is a little vague on some of the capabilities. Your post helps a lot.
Again, thanks to you and all who replied to the initial posting.

Re: CGBlog Clarification
Thanks Jeremy
It's working this time. {CGBlog} was the first one I tried but smarty just barfed up an error. This time however, smarty behaved and returned an empty blog entry in the html code. I will test out a few things to see if I can get it to deliver the goods.
Again, thanks

CGBlog Clarification
I am using CMSMS 1.5.4 and have installed CGBlog 1.0.1. I am attempting to use the blog but I having a little difficulty. The first problem is absence of any indication as to the tag that should be applied. There is a long list of parameters but parameters to what? I tried a number of guesses but no...

Re: Stop Caching
Hi Ted Thanks for the suggestions. I tried both of your suggestions before posting the first message. I also dumped the cache in the browser. I even shut down the server and re-started it. I'm going to try one more thing - loading cmsms 0.12 on a couple of other servers. Maybe the issue resides in p...

Stop Caching
Hi I am using CMSMS 0.12 and am having a problem with the caching. The caching is working perfectly. However, I have included some php code on several pages which should spit up different content on each loading of the page - random images, random quotes, user specific content, etc. Since the coding...

Re: Questions on e-commerce module
Thanks TJ_IN_AK. This is going to be interesting. My version of oscommerce is extensively modified. The site I an working on requires my version for a catalog only, not an e-comm, application. I suspect that this mod is going to have a fit dealing with my version. Hopefully I can get the standard ve...

Re: JSCookMenu module. Nice alternative to PHPLayers.
I wish to thank 'dotnet' and 'megabob' for thier work on the JSCookMenu module. CSS menu systems are all well and good for purists and appropriate where a simplistic menu system is all that is required. However, I require far more inherent horsepower and that is provided by a javascript system. The ...
