Re: Apache Default page loads instead of my home page
It may be as simple as removing the index.html page so the webserver will default to the CMSMS index.php page.

Re: Help: Massive problems getting up and running
Simplistically, a portal has a front end login that provides features and functions to a visitor of a website and a CMS has a back end login for managing the content and style of a website. CMSMS's back end login is the /admin - Admin Login. You can create different user logins and give them some li...

Re: Install problem with long domain name - Solved via Workaround
/var/www/vhosts/abcdefhijkl-mnopqrstuvwx.com/httpdocs/tmp/templates_c /var/www/vhosts/abcdefghijklm.com/httpdocs/dvl/abcdefhijkl-mnopqrstuvwx/tmp/templates_c I used both, under different domains. Install wouldn't run until I shortened the abcdefhijkl-mnopqrstuvwx. Sorry to obfuscate the domains, cli...

Install problem with long domain name - Solved via Workaround
Hey, I'm throwing this out because I ran into this problem. I don't fully understand what's happening, but I did find a workaround in case it happens to someone else. Installing CMSMS 1.2.3 on a domain with a long domain name like abcdefghijk-lmnopqrstuvw.com - that's 24 characters before the .com. ...

Re: New installation -No installation pages to do the installation as expected
Yes, I agree with Alby. When I look at http://www.xuankong-liufa.com/cmsmadesimple/cmsmadesimple-1.2.3/ it is missing all CMSMS files and many of the folders too. Remove the cmsmadesimple-1.2.3 folder and from the cmsmadesimple folder start with installation step 2 (http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/ind...

Re: New installation -No installation pages to do the installation as expected
Not likely that I can help, but....
The installation script does not start until you get to Step 8 of the installation instructions. You have to do steps 1-7 manually.

Re: [Solved] Smarty error using bluewave.zip template

Thank you, that's exactly what I needed.

[Solved] Smarty error using bluewave.zip template
I downloaded bluewave.zip from themes.cmsmadesimple.org and installed. But I'm seeing an error at the top of each page. Error is: string(83) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "globalcontent:JavaScript for IE page width"" So I've searched this forum and Googled around lookin...

Re: Paypal code and TinyMCE not working!
Yeah, there some strangeness with TinyMCE and code - screws up the PayPal code and converts -> into something like -&gh;. You have to switch from WYSIWYG mode, fix/paste and save.

Re: Help needed with Menu Module and CSS - Small project
I need someone to modify the menu on a website to change the way the menu works. I'm not sure if this is CSS or Smarty logic or some other code. I know the menu system can do it, I've seen one of the templates that's included do it. Just not sure how to get from here to there. Currently when you cli...

Re: Professional work using CMSMS
My experience is this either means (1) they don't have a clue or (2) they don't have the budget for the project. It's a simple fact that few people understand the amount of work it takes to put together a good site. Let them get other quotes and compare for themselves. In fact, encourage them to! If...
