Re: 1.5.4 upgrade to 1.6+ : site broken ("Invalid query: SELECT version from..")

Re: Upgrading 1.4.1 to 1.6.4
......... I restored my backup now. I guess the next releases of my websites will have to be started from a fresh installation. Mainly that TinyMCE died is my main problem. Yesterday I did a 1.4.2 to 1.6.4 by simply downloading the full 1.6.4 release and then uploading it to my web site overwriting...

Re: Calendar Request
Can whomever is responsible for the Calendar consider images to go along with the Catergories, If the images could then be displayed with the summary this would be of great benefit and really liven up the Calendar. Thank you Yeah , I'm thinking of that too.... Category Images e.g. an icon style ima...

Re: Celebrity Site
Same slow here. I did a wget on http://xlselebriti.com/images/webz/header.jpg (that 25kbyte header image) and it took 20 or so seconds as the site only seems to dish out files at around 1.2 K/s. Nice rounded edge effect (with images) layout. It *feels* like a ringtone/celeb site so I think you got i...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.3.1
Okay, 1.1.3.1 is up and out, and ready to roll. Sorry for the inconvenience. 1.1.3.1 downloaded this morning (23rd Sept) and worked fine except usual tweak to the News module on the SQL query to support very old MySQL versions... /modules/News/function.admin_articlestab.php (around line 96) /modul...

>:( Anybody know how I can protect my tmp folder? It's been hacked twice. I was using 1.0.4 and I got hacked. Now I'm using 1.1.1 and I got hacked again. CMSMade Simple does not seem to be all that secure to me. I'm running the following: Linux Apache version 1.3.37 PHP version 4.4.6 MySQL version...

Re: HEEELP lost adminisration CSS in 1.1.2 !!
you can see the result here: www.idevlop.com/admin And it's a problem because I had lost my News as well (I re-enter them now - what a night!) but also, without the normal presentation in the admin interface, I cannot reach the News template, which I need to restore :( How can I get this admin CSS ...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.2
The error seems to (sort of) disappear if I comment out Line 237 in modules/News/action.default.php #$query1 .= " LIMIT $pagelimit OFFSET $startelement"; (But now all articles shows up, of course) For the admin panel, I commented out line 95 in modules/News/function.admin_articlestab.ph...

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.2
I can't see the items in the admin panel, but they were Approved and displayed properly in 1.1.1. The templates are OK. Authorisation is OK. The new articles showed fine up to CMSMS 1.1.1, then when I did the update to 1.1.2 using the 1.1.1-1.1.2 file, they stopped showing. I just created a new art...

Re: Starting homepage based on users browser language
For a MultiLanguage site I setup CMSMS in a specific way to have the language in the menu as first-level menu. It uses a UDT and switches to the default language of that user, showing all children (language specific pages) under that language. My page structure looks like: - Home - NL - NLpage1 ...

Re: Fixes for Postgres in News in 1.1.1 bork older MySQL installations
No, the problem is.... that we have to modify all umpteen modules. it takes time, and energy.... I wish there could be a 'maintenance' team that goes behind the 'development' team and cleans up such issues. Ah, OK - I'll PM. BTW: I copied the action.rss.php and changed my fixes to..... if( $pagel...

Re: Fixes for Postgres in News in 1.1.1 bork older MySQL installations
What needs to happen is that everything with filtering like this needs to use the SelectLimit call. unfortunately they don't (including most of mine). So at the moment we're at a canundrum with postgres and mysql support. Ah yes I see the ADOdb....What is the problem with moving to the ADOdb Select...

Re: how can I quickly find the config paths and urls?
I had my first installation under my web site URL with /cmsmadesimple and what I did was copy the whole lot up so everything lives at the root of the web site (yes I suppose I could have used redirects or rewrites but I wanted to test moving it. What I changed was really simple, config.php was edite...

[SOLVED] Fixes for Postgres in News in 1.1.1 bork older MySQL installations
I did the 1.1 to 1.1.1 upgrade by uploading a new copy and overwriting and updated files. The only problem I found was that my news disappeared. I enabled debug and found that the SQL syntax error was complaining about the ...LIMIT OFFSET right at the end of the query in action.default.php (line 228...
