Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.6
Thought I would just make the point - don't let the feedback regarding the teething problems put you off trying out this upgrade - this version is absolutely fantastic - the guys have done great, great work with this. The first thing I noticed was how fast the new version is! And I mean really tangi...

Re: Coming Soon: CMSMS 1.6
Calguy your bursts of energy are very much appreciated!! There are so many little but great improvements in your list - some of which I didn't even know I wanted (like the ip addresses for the site down) until I saw them. Great work as always and I can't wait to install..

Re: News module not sorting still
I made the following change and it all came good. in modules/News/action.default.php around line 131, change this line: $query1 .= "ORDER BY '" . str_replace("'", '', str_replace(';', '', $params['sortby'])) . "' "; to this: $query1 .= "ORDER BY " . str_replac...

Re: News module not sorting still
was any progress made on this? I am having exactly the same issue. sortasc='true' works fine, but sortby doesn't work. What it does do is disable the default sort of news_date and leaves the items unsorted by the look of it - i.e. they just appear in the order they happen to come out of the database...

Re: Search only certain news categories?
I tried the tag in the news templates but that didn't work. So you mean that news would have to be rewritten to tell search whether those particular categories and/or templates allow themselves to be indexed?

Search only certain news categories?
Is it possible to configure the search module so it indexes only certain categories of News? My News contains categories which are only viewable as Custom Content for logged in users (with FOE installed) and I'd like the public search page to index the public categories of news, but not the 'hidden'...

FEU template typo
The installed LostUsername Template in Front End Users has a typo on line 12:
{$entry->hidden}{$entry->prompt}' missing. This causes odd layout problems when the form is displayed on the front end.

Re: CMSMS 1.2 and FrontEndUser 1.3 Setup Issue
Awesome debug! I'm unfortunately unable to modify the file by ftp because it's owned by the webserver. Does anyone know how to get around this?

text size buttons
Been looking at various CMS's for a client who is very keen that the site should conform to accessibility standards. He likes Papoo because of the A+ and A- buttons which when clicked make the text on the page larger or smaller. I am trying to convince him that cmsms is the cms to go for, but is the...

Re: editing before publishing
Thanks Pierre, I think we can certainly live with wa1, unticking the active flag when the content is created and leaving it to the administrator to make live. If 2.0 is going to appear later this year, then it's not a long wait.

after looking at loads of other cms's, came across this one and have to say it is very impressive... especially the ease with which you can build your own template / css combinations. Try doing that with any other system. For that reason alone it fits my client's requirements perfectly. I have just ...
