Re: Why CMSMS really needs inline editing/in-place editing
We have both read the thread and understand your point. It is simply the fact that the resources of the development team go to more important tasks. As simple as that. In other words, the features that time is spent on are: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,35894.0.html I have tried in...

Re: Why CMSMS really needs inline editing/in-place editing
I am strangely not attracted to the idea. Perhaps because based on my experience with tinymce I think it will require much more "simplification" of the editor. How? The editor doesn't have to be integrated into editable fields (e.g. Sitefinity or concrete5 don't do this). You can even hav...

Re: Why CMSMS really needs inline editing/in-place editing
Almost, but it doesn't allow editing of content inline, which is the most important feature. That's what takes editing a web page from the clunky way it is done now in CMSMS, to one step closer of making it feel more natural, as if you are editing the website, not just the content.

Re: Why CMSMS really needs inline editing/in-place editing
However, the entire focus of Concrete5 is more the low-brow end user with few web development knowledge (if at all). I don’t know if that’s the direction CMS Made Simple wants to go. I am a web programmer with extensive experience in HTML and PHP (and I would most likely be trying to implement this...

Re: Why CMSMS really needs inline editing/in-place editing
Just an update... I would like to demonstrate the functionality of the inline editor I had in mind to something similar to what's already been done for e.g. concrete5 or Sitefinity CMS. In both of these content management systems, you can easily view and edit all blocks on the template in real-time ...

Re: Why CMSMS really needs inline editing/in-place editing
that´s a good idea...but at the same time I begin to think about some problems... All WYSIWYG destroy formatting, and to get into that...the editor would understand what you ´re trying to do... so that would not fir into a high customized site... I see this more possible in Joomla or Drupal... sinc...

Why CMSMS really needs inline editing/in-place editing
I'm sure the idea of having some kind of inline editor has been thrown around here before. However, I think a feature such as this is the inevitable future for content management systems . Thus, I suggest CMSMS be the first content management system to officially implement it and I have some ideas o...

CMSMS is perfect!
I've been looking around for a simple content management system like this for a while. I've tested Drupal, Joomla, and Xoops, and out of all I'd say this has to be the most easy-to-use, organized, feature-rich (where it counts), and overall the best cms software I've used. I also love the fact that ...
