Re: My First CMSMS site

Thanks for the kind words. mark, I'm not aware of a simple way to make the images pop up like a photo album... but I am open for any ideas you may have. My only concern is that I need to keep it simple so the customer can maintain the site without too many problems.  Simplicity and intuitive wo...

My First CMSMS site

Hi All, I'm just finishing up my first production CMSMS web site. It was a rapid redesign of an existing site. I'm still waiting on the customer to provide the ALT text to use for all the photo's, so that'll get added soon. New CMSMS site: http://www.btgetbackup.com Old Site: http://www.bt42.com Let...

Re: 403 error saving templates with <__script__> tag

Yes.  Any script tag reference causes the same problems.  I've performed a completely new install multiple times and even without making any changes, if I try opening the either of the CSSMenu templates (CSSMenu Horiz 1 col or CSSMenu Vert 1 col) I receive the same error when trying to Pre...

Re: 403 error saving templates with <__script__> tag

Here's some additional information on the problem.  I get the same error when trying to Add User Defined Tag that contains a "" tag. It looks like it may be a parsing error when trying to interpret the "" tag,, but I haven't been able to figure out what is wrong.  I anyone has any clue what the prob...

403 error saving templates with <__script__> tag

I've been racking my brain on this one for a while now.  I am receiving the following 403 error whenever I try to edit a template that contains a "" tag. 403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access /cmsms_folder/admin/edittemplate.php on this server. The error occurs when I click the Preview, ...

Re: CSS Menus display behind listboxes in IE - workaround

Overwriting the files shouldn't cause a problem, but I'm I always recommend making a backup copy.  If you have a backup, you can restore the files to their original state if you run into problems.

Re: CSS Menus display behind listboxes in IE - workaround

Sawz I just implemented the change again using the instructions in the post and it works fine for me on the following browsers: Internet Explorer 6.0.2 Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1 Opera 8.54 Netscape 8.1 I'm currently using the latest stable CMSMS release 0.12.1 "Savusavu".  I'll attach the two fil...

Re: Templates FCK

If you are referring to the templates that are invoked from FCKeditor, they are stored within an fcktemplates.xml file located in \modules\FCKeditorX\FCKeditor\fcktemplates.xml. Each node of the XML document defines a template: <Template title="YOUR TEMPLATE DESCRIPTION GOES HERE!!!" image="YOUR TEM...

Re: Another CMSMS Site Carrington Academy

Well, here's my two cents.  I didn't look through the underlying code so I can't comment on that, but overall I'm really impressed with the graphic design and overall layout. However, a few things caught my eye in particular.  First I think the text of the main navigation with the dark dro...

Re: Russell arking realtor website

Really nice site.  Looks very professional.  I didn't notice the problem with the sub-menus appearing behind the flash animation when using Firefox 1.5, however, this problem is typically resolved by setting the WMODE parameter in Flash to "transparent".  Here's a link on WMODE: m I do have one desi...

Re: install problems

dobo,

You could try XAMPP by Apache Friends http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

Their are 4 distributions for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Solaris all containing Apache, PHP, MySQL and much more and are free.  I've been using XAMPP locally for development and it's a great package, you'll be up and running in minutes.

Re: How to get Rich Text based Editor for Manageing Contents

askme,

In the Admin, go under My Prefs > User Preferences and make sure you have FCKeditor selected for the field "Select WYSIWYG to use:".  It may be set to "None" at the moment.

Re: Different CSS in editor than on page

My question: Can I tell the content page editor to use another background (i.e. black, cause of the lightbrown font) than the actual page? Are you are using FCKeditor as your WYSIWYG? If so, in the Admin go to the Extensions menu and select FCKeditorX. You can set the background color in the editor...

Yeah, I should have been more clear and said something like: replace the value "YourCustomToolbar" with the name of your new toolbar.
