Re: GolfingKnoxville.com

Nicely done mate... I might be giving you a shout to get some tips on how you've done stuff... like, how did you do the "REST" style page navigation?  I keep getting that stupid page? that is appended to the beginning of every page on the site. Also, is this an original design?  Or, did yo...

Re: First big CMSMS site :)

Great site.  Love the layout, the navigation is nice and easy.  Would it be possible to list the extensions you used in the development of this site?

Cheers!

Re: Quite a few Smarty Errors...

Fair enough... but, I think I've figured out what the issue is... I just need a resolution. It's come down to the fact that my host has decided to move my website from a Linux host to a Windows host.  I've moved it back to Linux, and I'm sure something has to be configured.  I'm sure this has been a...

Re: Quite a few Smarty Errors...

That's a good idea... wondering if upgrading to the latest will sort all these smarty errors?  And if I need to backup the data, html and style sheets from the site, what is the best way to do this?

Cheers.

Re: Quite a few Smarty Errors...

My apologies Nullig... This is actually an old install using version 1.0.6 Niihau.  The hosting environment is a shared Linux platform.  The mods I am using are: News Calendar FormBuilder It has been working fine for the last year without any issues.  I'm not sure what has caused this to happen. Tha...

Re: Linux vs Windows Web Hosting for CMSMS

Thanks for that detailed reply.  So, is there any obvious way to overcome this?  I have ssh access, although, as can be understood from the point of view of any web host, root access is not allowed.  Is there some script, batch process, etc. that I can use to change ownership back to me? Cheers again!

Re: Linux vs Windows Web Hosting for CMSMS

Thank you all for your input.  I also wanted to ask one more question... I have recently had problems deleting an old joomla installation on my host, in that when doing things through the webserver, the user is either "nobody" or "apache", and this then causes problems when tryin...

Linux vs Windows Web Hosting for CMSMS

Hi guys... Firstly, I would like to start my first post by saying that CMSMS has definitely made life a whole lot simpler.  Now, I was wondering... my host is giving me the option to switch from my shared linux hosting to a shared windows account. What do you suggest is better for CMSMS?  Mind you, ...
