Re: CGFeedMaker Err "Whitespace is not allowed at this locat

Thanks, Dr.CSS. Changing the & to & did the trick.

We're not using TinyMCE so we'll just have to keep an eye on it.

Thanks again. Going to update the subject with "[Solved]" now.

[Solved] CGFeedMaker Err "Whitespace is not allowed at..."

Hi there, I just downloaded and installed CGFeedMaker (and the CGExtensions prerequisite). I set up a feed for our news page and I get the following error on the news feed URL: Whitespace is not allowed at this location. Line: 455 Character: 108 <description>The University of St. Thomas’s Opus Colle...

Re: [Solved] Upgrade Error from 1.10.3 to 1.11 (cms_routes)

Yup, much appreciated. I think I was just used to that method for how to upgrade phpbb via the automatic update package.

Thanks again,

Re: Upgrade Error from 1.10.3 to 1.11 (cms_routes)

Ok well that seemed to do the trick (using the "upgrade.php" path) - I will flag this as solved now. Hopefully someone else who makes the same goof can now find this in the search and save themselves some frustration : P Thank you very much for the guidance - it's been helpful. Regards, -M...

Re: Upgrade Error from 1.10.3 to 1.11 (cms_routes)

Ah... here's the difference: I think I was just doing domain/install and not domain/install/upgrade.php.

I will give it a try and see what happens.

Re: Upgrade Error from 1.10.3 to 1.11 (cms_routes)

Well I think I did all of the steps correctly. I had to download the full English packages where available for each version as I migrated upwards from previous releases, running the installer after each file upload set. What's interesting is I followed the procedures as documented in the bottom of t...

[Solved] Upgrade Error from 1.10.3 to 1.11 (cms_routes)

Hi there. I posted a while ago on this subject, but had resolved to the fact that the 1.10.3 to 1.11 upgrade was just not working and I gave up and stayed with the 1.10.3 version. Last week one of our CMSMS sites got hacked and after wiping the site clean and restoring from a backup, I am now resolv...

Re: [Solved] 404 Error on News Lnks with Mod_Rewrite On - 1.

Well, the issue is resolved now, not solved, but resolved. What I did was just delete the site and the database and restore back to the backups of each and then proceeded to upgrade to 1.10.3 and not do the 1.11 upgrade like I did last time and everything works now. It's unfortunate though that we c...

Re: 404 Error on News Links with Mod_Rewrite On - 1.10.3

I had read that the '/' page extension was not too cooperative, so I had tried setting it to '' and it still provides the same issue. Just now I commented out the page extension line in the config file and the issue still persists. :-[

Re: 404 Error on News Links with Mod_Rewrite On - 1.10.3

Hi there. Is there any additional information that I should look to share on this topic? I've been looking throughout the forum and Google and have not come upon a solution yet.

Thank you,

[Solved] 404 Error on News Lnks with Mod_Rewrite On - 1.10.3

Hi there. To give the full story, we had 1.7.3 of CMS Made Simple installed and I was tasked with updating the version to match our sister site which was on version 1.10.3. I read a help page on CMS Made Simple's site stating that it's best to update one main version at a time - so I did. I went fro...

Re: [Solved] Issue migrating CMSMS from root directory to su

Ok so I "solved" this issue by creating an identically named domain on another server and copying the CMS to the root directory there. The wildcard subdomain on the primary server points to this new server which has a dedicated IP for this identically named domain. The domain name being th...

Re: Issue migrating CMSMS from root directory to subdirector

I found another thing: I was playing around the CMS pages and tested out making another page the default page to see if that new page would appear naturally if I just typed in the URL and sure enough it did. So I looked into the expected home page and I saw that there was some smarty code that state...

Re: Issue migrating CMSMS from root directory to subdirector

Oh, also, I did a checksum test using the checksum file in the install folder of the download I did and I receive a whole slew of "This resource is a directory!" across the board except for 1 error which states "This resource does not exist! /xx/xx/xx/xx/', $line, 2); // split it into...

Re: Issue migrating CMSMS from root directory to subdirector

Hi Dr.CSS. Thank you for your reply. I followed your instructions and downloaded an install package of the same CMS version (as there was no install folder in the inherited file structure from the previous host - they must have deleted it). I came across a few write errors to a few folders and the c...
