Permission system: editing pages on group level
I'm using CMSMS 1.0.4 and I searched for a possibility to allow modification to certain pages on group level. At first, I posted this as a question in http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,10238.msg51990.html#msg51990 and got many replies of users who were confronted with the same problem. ...

Re: Allowing users to edit only certain content items
Actually, granting a permission to edit a certain page is not possible on group level yet. It seems that I'm not the only one who's trying to do that. Hence, I will now add a feature request. You may then look at it and add your own suggestions.

Re: Installing modules manually
Thank you, that's a really nice trick using a local server (which does not make that trouble web servers often make).

Installing modules manually
Hello, I'm trying to install the TemplateExternalizer module. I downloaded the xml-file for version 1.0.4 from http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/frs/?group_id=177 but run into problems with server permissions. That's why I tried to install this module manually using a FTP-client. First, I expected the mo...

Re: Allowing users to edit only certain content items
Thanks. Yes, it is possible to grant access to certain users. It works but it is a workaround, not an optimal solution because I will have to give permissions to each user (belonging to an imaginary group) individually, instead of assigning permissions to a whole group. I will wait for one or two da...

Re: Cannot deselect additional editor
Thank you, I see that there are things I have not yet learned though I'm a quite experienced user and a developer, too. Instead of a small note, I suggest another solution: either checkboxes or a list with add/remove option. The current solution is not suitable because selecting a list item usually ...

Cannot deselect additional editor
Hello, I'm using version 1.0.4 and I failed to deselect a user from the list of "Additional editors" in the options tab of the 'New Content'-wizard. I could not manage to do this because this user was the only user, which cannot - once selected - cannot be deselected later on. This is - in...

Allowing users to edit only certain content items
Hello, I'm using CMSms 1.0.4 and I am looking for a possibility to allow a certain group to access certain content items. So let's assume that we have the following configuration: Groups: Admin (no restrictions) PR Users: Admin_User PR_User_1 PR_User_2 Content items: Home News ...
