Re: Installation files
Redundant question please use search first... Well, actually Mark, I did try a search first, but I must admit I didn't try too hard, because the installation guide says unzipping the files is possible. For all I knew the zip files had yet to be put up on your site when I checked. The site didn’t s...

Installation files
I was about to install the latest version and noticed there were no *.zip files, or am I missing something? How would the files held in cmsmadesimple-1.4.1-full.tar.gz be extracted, can you tell me? My PC used to be able to extract a .zip file, but doesn't know how to handle a .tar.gz file.

Banned by Google
My site was banned by Google, saying it “may harm your computer.” Google identified xxxxxxxxxxxx malicious software that would infect users from my site. With assistance from my host provider they spotted some java code in index.php they thought looked suspicious. A snippet of the code follows, ...

Re: Parameter limit is not known
The help doc indicates there are more features in News, and there is an administration menu for news categories. I'm curious to see this. How do I get to it?

Re: Parameter limit is not known
Thanks, I've got my editor back. Now, back to my original issue, if I may. I went into Layout > Templates which has “Left simple navigation + 1 column” as the default. When I click on the default, I can see the following code about half way down: News {news limit=...

Re: Parameter limit is not known
Hi there, I was just about to get on with trying to sort out my News problem when I noticed something else. So, before I get too far I thought I’d ask another question, that may or may not be related. I can’t recall exactly what the screen looked like (when I was using v1.0.5), but when I last upda...

Re: Parameter limit is not known
Sorry, what is the tag method? Prior to installing v1.1 I deleted all the cmsms files on the server, but I had trouble. So, I installed v1.2. It turned out that my trouble was because my directories had inappropriate protections. I adjusted the protection which generally left me with an okay site...

Hi there, would you mind proving a little more information on how to do this? I'm stuck.

Re: Parameter limit is not known
I installed v1.2 without (hopefully) straying from the installation instructions. I did clear the cashe afterwards because that sometimes resolves some problems. Actually, I wouldn't know where to, or how to set any parameters. If you tell me how, I'll check anything for you.

Re: Stumbling at Step 10 of installation
No more ideas. Though, the notion of a "windows server" caught my eye. Apache and PHP are terms I would be looking out for on a host. Perhaps someone else might care to comment. A lot of cmsms runs on PHP (no doubt other things come into play too), and in so far as I'm aware (but I'm not...

Re: Stumbling at Step 10 of installation
Note 2: If you find you are not getting past this point, it may be that when you created the database (step 6) you didn't grant yourself permissions. It's insufficient simply to observe that the ALL check box has been ticked assuming that all permissions have been granted. You have to run a query, ...

Parameter limit is not known
I have installed v1.2 and the site loads and dispays, mostly okay. However, the following error text is displayed in the News module: Warning: Parameter limit is not known... dropped in /home/nkneewul/public_html/lib/misc.functions.php on line 1281 This text is displayed immediately after the word ...

Re: Upgrade from version 1.0.4 to 1.2
Sorry to take over your post SnyTek. I think I best clear out and start my own. I belive my error may have been me forgeting to set permissions as described in Step 4, Quick Install via FTP.

Re: Upgrade from version 1.0.4 to 1.2
I jumped in and splash - I have a problem. Here's what I've done: I was on v1.0.5 and upgraded to 1.0.6 (no problem). I upgraded to 1.0.7 and then 1.0.8 (no problems). There was only an install for v1.1 so went ahead and did that, and the installation routine went okay but when I tried to open my s...
