You can see the url in the address bar change to the new one but what you see in the screen is the frontpage always. Ive read around and more or less everything points to pretty url and htacces. I ...

Re: How could i print content in metadata stripping the rest
Description tag was the first i looked for, but it prints the title attribute of the page, while im targeting what i put in page metadata content field of meta description. to entangle it more, ive tried the description tag to be sure and spits nothing. How could i print content in metadata stripping the rest
Ive been looking for a tag that will output whats written inside metadata content quotes. Unless you tell me there is actually one out there. I suppose the only way to get that data is stripping or choping it using some php + smarty trick. But im pretty lost. First because i have no idea if the php ...

Re: whats the purpose of import to database option for menu
I appreciate your posts, for me is crystal clear now, that it has nothing to do with what i said, and that it is not a performance oriented feature.

Can i remove or modify this line from template if i dont use
If i dont use the news module, and all my content are pages Can i remove this line and still have canonical urls, or at least split the if statement. Im not sure but i suppose half of it is for news and the other half is meant to form the canonical url for pages, so my guess is that i could remove t...

Re: whats the purpose of import to database option for menu
I appreciate your replies. No what i actually mean is what you say, although i make a copy of the tpl to edit in a editor then i would have reimported with the add a template button, leaving the core version of the template untouched. Thats the reason i asked if the import to database had another re...

[SOLVED]whats purpose of import to database option for menu
In menu manager each menu template like simple navigation has an option on the right to import the template to the database. Whats the purpose, is it only so you can edit the template inside cmsms admin instead of doing it in an external editor. Or does have something to do with speed load performan...

Re: How to 301 redirect still accessible query string urls
The rewrite rule specified above translates urls in the form of http://mysite.com/something/somethingelse/alias and does a redirect to: http://mysite.com/index.php?page=something/somethingelse/alias That string (something/something/alias) is then matched through all of the registered 'routes'. and ...

Re: How to 301 redirect still accessible query string urls
Im impressed with such a detailed explanation. Read through it carefully. And agree that by no means i had an clear idea of the process url follows and how server and cmsms relate each other. I however know that cmsms use internally that url, and again agree you have said it hundred times, because i...

Re: How to 301 redirect still accessible query string urls
This is something what the canonical url is for... I don't think a canonical url will solve this 'problem'. However it should prevent search engines to index the query string urls. That's probably what you want? You probably don't want to 'break' the query string urls. You might get into trouble (e...

Re: How to 301 redirect still accessible query string urls
Oh no, i mean, i know this wont be fixing any issue, as you say there is already a canonical to tell engines what url to assign the page. Maybe is more on the usability side, and frankly in the paranoid side

Re: Is this a bug, style tags and content not saving as gcb
Actually you have uncovered a missconception for me. As ive always assumpted that activating the html mode before pasting something, was the equivalent to nerf wysiwyg. Ive reviewed lot of stuff i did like that, and there are no issues in pages, but actually there was something weird in some content...
