Re: OK, Simple One, but one that I can't find!
Cookies! Do you need them? And if not, where on Earth can you disable them? lol Searched high and low and this one has me stumped!!!! ;o) Searched where? In your sock drawer? ;-p Think of cookies as delivery devices for chocolate chip goodness. Where the goodness is useful (generally encrypted) inf...

Re: Why not release CMSMS as a zip file?
I would have thought that a large number of people would simply want to download a zip file, unzip it, then FTP it up to the server. Currently they have to work out if they want a .dat file or .tar.gz or a base or a full release? What are they? Gzip is a very good compression format - moving a sing...

Re: Website is running really slow help
General suggestions for "slow sites". Presuming you've already checked for errors using debug mode and made certain that the site setup is optimal for CMSmadesimple (no errors or warnings during install) First check the host, ISP and routing using traceroute (under *nix - I "think&quo...

Re: how to find out username and password
I tried this and saw that the password field for user_id 1 now says 21232f297a57a5a743894a0e4a801fc3 yet I still can't login using the password 'admin'. I even tried to insert a new user but that won't let me log in as well. Are you certain the "admin" username *is* admin?? Because the MD...

Re: WYSIWYG broken in 1.9?
I had the same problem on several sites when I upgraded... unfortunately I don't remember exactly how I fixed it. Basically I tried various combinations of unticking the WSIWYG box in the pages and Global-->General Settings. Note: there are four places where it's set (not counting in templates). For...

Re: Some General Principles
I read some of the "demands" with dismay - do the posters realize how childish they sound? Preface the following with IMNSHO "Free Open Source" is not "Open Source", the difference is critical (do yourselves a favor and look it up). "Free" means "Free as ...

When you say you restored the original - do you mean you deleted the upgrade, then restored the original....?
Did you try "Site Admin" --> "Global Settings" --> "Advanced Setup" --> "Clear cache"?

Re: Site Migration assisance requried..
Check your ftp log for errors - your new site uses cPanel, so ftp copy of a tarred archive is the quickest, safest way to move the site. Check file permissions. Recheck config.php. Compare the phpinfo.php output from your old site with the phpinfo from cPanel at your new site. Maybe try Sitepusher f...

Suggestion - Howto print entire Wiki
I note that some people:- ;have problems printing wiki pages ;would like to view the wiki offline ;want up-to-date off-line documentation* 1 Suggestion - a wiki administrator could (possibly) make this possible by using PDP Export http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/PDF_Export . Note that this would requ...

Suggestion for wiki - User Handbook/Getting S.../Installation/via Shell [Done]
No mention anywhere of who the various commands should be run as. I appreciate that different installation environments will/would require different permissions. As I am have only used cmsmadesimple in a limited number of situations, I refrained from editing the wiki - at present. Simply prefacing c...
