Our version of CMS is still 2006. It was good then. I'm looking forward to seeing how you've made it better when we start performing updates.

There were two meta tags in the Global settings, one for the generator, the other is the http-equiv. I just added keyword and description tags, but they don't apply, once saved, that I can tell.
Do we need to find a template with keyword and description tags built into it?

I'm wondering about this too. Our site is having this issue with internal "contact us" links. We use an old version of CMS. The next thing I was going to try is, from Pages > content > source, replacing the php generated code for those links with standard HTML mailto tags. I haven't trie...
