No DB drivers found - No GD libraries found during install

If you get these errors on Linux simple install these packages:

php-gd & php-mysql

Or there related packages for your specific distribution  (these are for fedora)

You can't use v1.8.2 with php 5.1.x

I have just got the server admin to update the server for this very issue

use v1.6.8 or update php

if you go to extensions > modules.  (not the module manager, just modules)
at the bottom there is an option to install via XML file

get the xml
upload and then when it is added to the list of modules, be sure to click install

job done.

There seems to be a paths issue with the image links in there respective folders (products and categories). as default it creates this type of link: or   this results in the browser not finding the images In the preferences where you can change the paths to categories and products: when this is done...
