sounds like the 3px IE jog bug. If you google you should find a solution to test.

Running IE6 on XP pro with latest updates etc, just following MS update tools. I also use the Sun Java Plug-in 1.5.0_08, if that might be relevant.
Thing is, that with the hacks in the css it works fine (also in FF).
