Sadly wrapping it in tags didn't seem to work. I'm getting errors in the item when it is displayed. I keep getting these "unrecognized tag" errors.

[solved]I would like to post PHP Code but Smarty tries to process it as a tag.
Is there a way to post PHP code in my pages without the template system from trying to process it as a Smarty tag?

I would rather use the News module for minor news updates, however, if I don't get a response (which seems likely since this module technically doesn't support CMSMS 1.5.4) then I might actually look into your suggestion.

I can't see where to set the category in the article that I wish to write. Installed the Articles module and all of its dependencies (ModuleXtender which also requires AjaxMadeSimple). I opened the ModuleXtender and activated the Articles module in its list of modules. I then went to the categories ...
