Re: installation on local host?
I'm guessing you're using xampp and iirc it sets up a database with a user root having an empty password. The cmsms installer requires a non-empty password for the database. My advice would be to create an extra database user with a password and give it all permissions on the database you're using ...

Hi folks, I've gotten to the page on my installation asking me to activate the database and I keep getting an error message about username and password not accepted. I've tried root, admin and my username with the admin password and it isn't working . Don't know which port to use, https://www.screen...

Considering CMSMS for pro-bono charities
Hi folks, I normally develop in Wordpress for my paying clients but I have recently been asked to do some work for local charities who have little money or need to better spend what they do have on those in crisis. Anyway, lookin for a cheaper alternative. For WP I always buy all the security featur...

Simplex seems to have responsive menus?
Simplex template seems to be the only one with a responsive menu system. Is that correct that it is responsive?
Would like to use that and modify the design if that is correct.

Re: Photo gallery solutions?
I am looking at a few of the plugins listed and most of them say "no support" or "not released" or "Doesn't work with 1.5.x" I haven't tried any yet. In fact Album says: " hmm, so since this has no active developer, does that mean that it wont work with future ver...

Photo gallery solutions?
Hi folks, I am considering a CMSMS for a non-profit client and they would like to be able to upload pictures of their mission trips on a regular basis and create photo gallery type displays. They will not be using Contribute, and usually I create a gallery using a third party software like PVII, b...

Editing Themes?
Hi folks, I've looked at the online docs and cannot find the info on how you create or edit themes. Can someone please direct me to it?
Also, if you just want to change logos and colors, is that handled by simple CSS editing?
TIA,
Jeff
