Re: BizBuzz - New Template

I have installed this theme twice now and have noticed one small problem with the nivo slider. I do not know if the problem is due to nivo or the theme? Here it is... When a page with nivo slider activated loads it sometimes does not show the whole image, just a thin strip with the comments line (Se...

How to display news fields for artcileid on non-news page?

I am trying to display fields from news articles on non-news pages. I wish to be able to display only the author, date, and category of specific article id's, not the summary or detail. I have the general concept but cannot put the code together correctly. Can anyone help me to make this code work p...

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

That's it! I had to delete the uploads/BizBuzz/functions.js file and re-upload it. Now those changes do work.

Thanks

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

Well, I tried that. The parts you showed in red were not there so I added them and changed them up and down, cleared cache, still no changes. Seems like it should be using defaults from nivo.slider.js if not specified. I really hate to bother you with Nivo stuff since you already took the time to sh...

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

uniqu3 - I found the right functions.js file. I was trying to edit the wrong one inside the js/ folder. I still cannot seem to change the settings though? What I want to do is change the effect to "scroll right" and change the speed or delay. I am also looking at Nivo Slider website. I kno...

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

I looked in the template BizBuzz and found the javascript call at the bottom but there do not seem to be any settings in the template. I know I must be missing something easy... <__script__ type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.1/jquery.min.js&quo...

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

I am trying to change the Nivo Slider settings. I want to change slices, pausetime, and effect. I tried editing //Default Settings in uploads/BizBuzz/js/nivo.slider.js but that has no effect. The settings must be in another place. Can you please help me locate the settings for the Nivo Slider teaser...

Re: Making news title link to a page - I saw this before?

It worked! It was tricky because I am using a different theme with 1.8.1 and the news templates are different but I figured it out from your Dutch language thread. If anyone else tries this with a translator, do not copy the code from Google translator. It changes the code. I should have seen that r...

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

@DCX open the template and replace: {if $sidenav == "+"}      <h3>Navigation</h3>      {menu start_level='2'}            {/if}      {if $newscat == "+"}      <h3>News Categories</h3>      {cms_module module='News' action='browsecat' detailpage='news'}      {/if} with your global...

Re: Making news title link to a page - I saw this before?

That seems like what I want to do. I don't remember translating Dutch before but the steps look simple enough. I am going to try that in a new 1.8.1.

Thank you

[solved] Making news title link to a page - I saw this before?

I once used a modification I found here which enabled me to specifiy a custom link for news titles. Now I can't find it. Does anyone know where this is? This news modification allowed me to enter a URL into the Extra: field and then when you clicked on the news title it would take you to that URL. H...

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

I like the sidebar with navigation and new categories but I wonder if it would be possible to include a sidebar with custom HTML instead?

Maybe replace navigation or news with a global content block?

Thank you

Re: BizBuzz - New Template

This is a really nice theme! I just installed it and it works great thanks to your detailed readme.txt and forum responses. No problems yet... knock on wood Thank you Okay, there is one question. My blocks are not in a row like your example. They are in a column instead. Any idea how I can change th...

Re: Why are my div's being stripped out in TinyMCE?

Yes Dr., it is code that should be in a template, in fact that's where I clipped it from. It creates a nice little sort of table I wanted to reproduce inside some articles, hence the insertion in tinymce. Adding to a global content block is a good idea. Peciura - As many cmsms's as I have installed,...
