Checksum fails: no version.php

Hello, Does not matter if it's a clean install or a upgrade, when you download the checksum (http://s3.amazonaws.com/cmsms/downloads/12956/cmsms-2.1-checksum.dat) and try to verify the installation, you get an error Warning: md5_file(.../version.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory...

Re: 2.0.1.1: Problem with template variables

You are using the wrong $smarty template object. & In your plugins, UDT's, and module actions you should not be using the global smarty object, AT ALL, anywhere. The above example by pschoenb is working perfect in 1.12.x and was working perfect up to the august 22 rc1 beta version of v2.0. Then...

Re: Front End blank page after CMSMS 2.0.1.1 upgrade from 1.

But you can't deny that there is a big drop in number of downloads. No I cannot it was not my intention, (...), and as I said it was not my point either. We don't have a way to count downloads and installations from other sources May I ask, what was your point when you wrote: "the number of do...

Re: Front End blank page after CMSMS 2.0.1.1 upgrade from 1.

Well you said it yourself, you cherry picked some versions... But you can't deny that there is a big drop in number of downloads. and I was not making a point about statistics, those numbers are hardly representative of the real use of CMSMS. How are the download statistics not a representation of ...

Re: Front End blank page after CMSMS 2.0.1.1 upgrade from 1.

the number of downloads and upgrades done every day gives us a different panorama Really? 1.10.3 - 50.000 downloads 1.11.10 - 30.000 downloads 1.11.11 - 20.000 downloads 1.12 - 12.000 downloads 2.0.1.1 - 1.100 downloads ??? I pretty much see a huge decline in the userbase. (yes, i have cherry picke...

Re: Redirection loop while trying to install v2.0

File comment: There is a build.php file here to build the sample phar... it must be run from the CLI on a host where phar.readonly is turned OFF. You do not need CLI access to run the phar installer, or the trivial phar that I uploaded. You just upload them in binary mode, and browse to them. This ...

Re: Redirection loop while trying to install v2.0

Thanks for your reply, CG! Very much appreciated! ;D Unfortunately I do not have access to an CLI (the host is currently working on allowing SSH) From what I understand from the read me, release notes and scattered posts on the forum, CLI/SSH is not a prerequisite to run the new 2.0, am I right? Am ...

Re: Redirection loop while trying to install v2.0

The single phar is still not working for 2.0.1

May I please ask you again, Calguy, how can I find out which specific server configuration setting is causing the 301 redirection loop and breaking the installation?

Re: CMSMailer & MenuManager deprecated on clean 2.0 install

I noticed that as well. From the 2.0 documentation it appears that CMSMailer was left intentionally: Though a CMSMailer module exists as part of the core, it is now just a stub module without an interface. Its only purpose is for backwards compatibility with older code, and as such it is not install...

Re: Consistancy in friendly names of CG products

(note we are not talking about the friendly names) Sorry for the confusion, but this whole time I've been meaning to say friendly names. I did not know it was called that way until I opened the lang file yesterday. It did not cross my mind that the friendly names are being translated (probably by d...

Re: CMSMS 2.0: Accessing the admin theme

@velden: How is this a 'mod'? I have read and understood the rules stated in http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=28132 This is not a mod. Not a hack. This is the official 'fix' posted and explained by Calguy , to solve a problem with a module that is not being maintained by its c...

Re: CMSMS 2.0: Accessing the admin theme

How are you still using that module? I have used it in the past, but it has not been updated for a couple of years now. I warn you, solving this problem will lead to some other problem! You are better off finding a new multi-lang solution (like this one made by Rolf) The problem you are now experien...

Re: Redirection loop while trying to install v2.0

I think the phar is a real break-through for CMSMS, as it will make upgrading so much faster and easier. I would really like it to work. Am I the only one (apart from spcherub) having this redirection loop problem? Can you please explain what it is I should talk about with my webhost if I would like...
