Re: Module Development - having trouble with $params

So - using CreateLink works fine. This takes the browser to : http://example.com/index.php?mact=CCBCalendar,cntnt01,monthList,0&cntnt01month=10&cntnt01year=2014&cntnt01returnid=57 This could work for my use-case, but I'd love to understand how/if URL parameters can be accessed just when ...

Re: Module Development - having trouble with $params

Sorry. I'm new enough with this that I'm not certain what all I need to provide. I'll look through the link you sent and see if anything looks to help. Overall Goal In years past, my client has utilized the (great) CGCalendar for their calendar needs. However, in the past year they've upgraded their...

Module Development - having trouble with $params

I'm developing a module and am having trouble retrieving parameters from the page URL. I'm using v1.11.11. I'd like to have a parameter 'month' made available to the module, from the page parameter 'month': http://example.com/index.php?page=test&month=1 I bought the CMS Made Simple Development C...

SSL Admin

I followed the FAQ for forcing my admin login page to be https and ended up with an error message when trying to login that informed me that the information was being submitted to a non SSL location. Clicking OK on this prompt just reloaded the login.php page. Digging in the forums I found a combina...

Re: PLEASE HELP...we can no longer make edits to pages - 'page not found' error

If you think back to the Google/China (the IE flaw/hijack) fiasco - apparently many of the servers being used for the exploit belonged to HostGator. Shortly after that, it seems they've been a little more proactive on the security front.

Don't forget to change your thread subject to include [Solved] if it works for you.

And in case any of you are interested, read up on Mod Security: http://www.modsecurity.org/documentation/faq.html . Now is a great time to update to 1.7.1 as well  ;D

Re: PLEASE HELP...we can no longer make edits to pages - 'page not found' error

:) At least for me - it turned out to be a hosting issue. I'm still trying to better understand why/what was the problem, but I'll provide what information I got from HostGator support. There was an unexpected change (that they didn't notify anybody about) that caused this problem. I chatted with a ...

Re: PLEASE HELP...we can no longer make edits to pages - 'page not found' error

I understand his motiviation (I think). He provides a very useful tool at no charge to the community and wishes to A) force us to learn and/or B) turn us into paying customers (according to his sig). I'm good with either really, I'd just rather not spend my night trying to install the latest CMSMS a...

Re: PLEASE HELP...we can no longer make edits to pages - 'page not found' error

I'm a big fan of CMSMS and am hoping this is a simple fix... but it's a bit scary that this occurred without CMS admin involvement. I'll post whatever I find. I bet I know the answer... but I'm gonna wait a couple more days before I give it out. I've been waiting for a reason to give a donation. Fe...

Re: PLEASE HELP...we can no longer make edits to pages - 'page not found' error

I have confirmed I'm seeing the 404 popup message on clicking apply as well. Just curious if the other posters here are on HostGator as well. Looking for some kind of common link. Here is my current configuration: ---------------------------------------------- Cms Version: 1.6.7 Installed Modules:  ...

Re: PLEASE HELP...we can no longer make edits to pages - 'page not found' error

I'm going to be digging into this here in a little while and will start a separate thread with my specifics. I believe what the original poster and I are seeing is this: * Version 1.6.6 (OP) and mine is 1.6.7 * You go to edit a page and click Apply or Submit and are taken to a 404 page. The page doe...

Re: PLEASE HELP...we can no longer make edits to pages - 'page not found' error

Our site just starting having the same issue. When looking at the url when in edit mode on a page, the page= variable doesn't have any value. I updated the site to 1.6.7 a few weeks ago and changes have been made successfully since then, so this is a new occurance. I'm searching and have yet to find...
