@User53, there was no SITEDOWN in tmp/cache??
so I deleted all css files in tmp/cache...
didnt' fix it.
walked away for a couple of days, came back to try again... and it was working!!
thinking it may be host server or something else?
problem solved... but dont know how. :-\

[Solved] Site down message... but the site is not down!!

Hi all, wonder if someone can shed some light on this one: (CMSMS 1.9.3) I have been working on my website whilst in maintenance mode. using the "Exclude these Addresses from Site Down Messages:" option. Today for some reason, with the site in 'live' mode, i still get the site down message...

hi Sideshow Bob, thanks for your reply, i did try that... it only puts a horizontal rule 'inside' the news story. what i need is a horizontal rule 'between' the news stories. currently, the [more] tag of the newest story added sits directly above the date of the previous story. example: 23/10/08 tes...

[solved] a way to separate News Items?

Is it possible to have a horizontal rule inserted automatically between news articles?
Currently they kinda appear one after the other, without any real separation between them.
they end up stacked on top of each other with no real way of telling where one starts and the previous story ends.
