I installed wamp, and that fixed my problem. Gd came in the ext. folder when I installed wamp, and I like the set up too. Much easier to create databases for non technical people.

there is no such file in that folder. I only see
php_mbstring.dll
php_msql.dll
php_mysql.dll
php_mysqli.dll
Is there somewhere else I can get it from?
