I'm getting this same error again now in ver 1.8.2 

Same issue, when applying changes to "Group Assignments" page, everything gets wiped from this table.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I actually have had this problem a few times. The first time I deleted and re-created the page, a HUGE inconvenience, but it worked. This last time i tried something different - I simply changed the content type to something different and back again. Voila, the submit/apply button accepts changes now.

I just upgraded to cms 1.4.1 When making any changes to the Group Assignments page, all group assignments are lost -- the cms_user_groups table gets emptied. Thankfully I had made an sql backup shortly before doing this, but WOW was that scary. We have a lot of users and a lot of groups. Any thought...

Well I have learned a bit more. The admin was not actually deleting all of the files in templates_c, even though it told me the cache was cleared. I deleted these files and the changes are now visible!

However, what is to prevent this from happening again?

I have been having page Cache issues with a cmsms site.  When making some changes the page cache seems to get stuck. The admin side and the database show the right content, but a browser going to the page does not. Neither clicking clear cache or deleting all files in the tmp and cache directory mak...

OK, was afraid of that. I'll play around with some smarty in the menu manager a bit more before I give up and change my content structure. I'll post any progress if I find some.

I'd also like to know this (selecting specific menu items but also showing their children). 

I tried also played around with a menu template and added an {if} condition to check on $node->alias, but with the same results as above. Any help with either approach would be appreciated.

Ahh well, I was afraid of that. I added it as a feature request. Hopefully the dev's can incorporate that functionality at some point.

In the meantime, since I'm just learning about UDTs, how might you suggest I go about pulling data from the Calendar Module with a UDT?

Is there a way to just show today's events for the Calendar Module? Perhaps a custom template I could add?

Ok, nevermind. I downloaded the tarball and grabbed the stylesheet out of there and added it manually, and everything works fine now.
