Re: how to get rid of 1.6.6 image?
There are tools that will save lots of your time. You will be able to track objects you want to remove and styles you want to change.... I recommend firebug. http://www.klauskomenda.com/archives/2008/02/16/collection-of-web-developer-tools-per-browser/ thanks, i've installed web dev toolbar and fir...

Re: site live, but links point to direct URL
Ah, i didn't change config.php. I only change the root url, and didn't mess with the "path to document root," and it seems to be working fine now. do i need to change the latter as well for any reason?Jos wrote: Have you cleared the cmsms cache?
Does your config.php have the right path settings?

[solved] site live, but links point to direct URL
I started working on my site, www.vividedgemedia.com, before pointing the nameservers to it. i just did the switch, and it's working, but the links still point to the IP address rather than the domain. simply hover over any link on the site to check this. is there a setting i should/have to change, ...

Re: Pulling stylesheet info when you can't log into your admin

Pulling stylesheet info when you can't log into your admin
I have an installation of 1.2.4 on an old server, and a new installation of 1.6.6 on a new VPS. I want to replicated one of the stylesheets (mostly color choices) from the old install onto the new one, but because of numerous problems, i'm unable to log into the old admin panel and actually see what...

Re: GD image problem
If you're not familiar with how to administer a linux/unix host why did you go with a vps? That aside... you have 2 choices a) contact 'somebody' to do the appropriate administration to your machine (regular maintenance has to be done, like upgrades, clearing caches making sure disk space is availa...

Re: GD image problem
I seriously doubt anyone is going to recommend that you stay with an outdated version of CMSMS. That's just not safe. Is your VPS through a web host? If so, just ask them to install GD and ImageMagick. my webhost says they won't do those kinds of upgrades. would anyone on this forum be interested ...
