Is frontenduser the way to go for editing? like joomla or can't it be done 

I just tried cmsms version 1.2.3
and esshop version 1.0 and 1.0.1and I get the same results each time so should I give up

I might try the 1.2.3 version and see.

Thanks the interesting thing is it would not work and then when I restarted the server it works just fine.
