Thanks NaN! That worked perfectly.
The reason I do this is that {sectiontitle} causes preview to not render. By leaving this one little thing out of the preview, it works fine.

Preview exceptions [solved]
In 1.5, I used the following code to avoid a bug that caused the preview to crap out. {if $SCRIPT_NAME != "/preview.php"} {sectiontitle levels='2'} {/if} This would allow my tag to render results in a browser, nothing in preview. Now in 1.6.6, the preview mechanism has apparently cha...

Re: Global Settings not available in admin
The checksum reported over 100 files missing. I reverted back to my 1.5 install re-upgraded to 1.6, then 1.6.6. It now works fine. One thing I did differently - I uninstalled the news module before upgrading. News has been causing me some problems, so I thought 'why not?' Don't know if that made the...

[Solved] Global Settings not available in admin
After upgrading from 1.5 to 1.6.6, the Global Settings link in the admin menu gives me the following error: string(54) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "siteprefs.tpl"" The file existed, but was blank. I replaced it with a siteprefs.tpl file from another 1.6.6 install. Sti...

Re: --- (Trip 2 Barbados for the Answer) ---
If I understand your question correctly, then all you need to do it replace with {php}...{/php}
I find some problems with some quotes throwing errors, but I get around them by putting all of my php in includes an referring to those includes in the code above.
Good luck.

Re: CMSMS 1.3 TinyMCE file selection problem
The fix works great. Thanks. However, when a file is selected, the url now includes my entire domain before 'uploads' eg. (/www.jscc.edu/uploads...). Any ideas?

This custom tag solved my problem with a couple of tweaks to show the menu_text instead.

I don't need the menu help any more, but the mod_rewrite issues are still important. Doesn't anyone want to make a little money?

mod_rewrite and menu help
I am semi-desperate need of some help with mod_rewrite in relation to cmsms and some menu customization as well. Please contact vgarcia@*nospam*jscc.edu with your terms. As is usual with this sort of thing, I'm in a hurry to fix problems I've created for myself.
