I need to build a "resource directory" for my site. Such as: Restaurants restaurant #1 address, city state phone restaurant #2 address, city state phone Theaters theater #1 address, city state phone theater #2 address, city state phone Looks like company Directory is what I need, but I h...

Re: What modules and tags used in show-off sites?
Bing! The sound of the lightbulb above my head! I completely get CSS and HTML, but I missed how the tags function with the code...I figured the tag would be there followed by content... I am also going back and re-reading the *f* manual...My experience is so html-centered that I could easily miss r...

Re: What modules and tags used in show-off sites?
I'm not sure I understand why not revealing code is "part of the beauty of the system"; unless the object is to protect code? I will try to find sites where i can contact the author for some guidance... the module instructions themselves are not very instructive to a CMSMS newbie. I'm quit...

What modules and tags used in show-off sites?
I like being inspired by the showoff sites, but I would also like to learn from them. When I view page source, I don't see any code referring to CMSMS modules or tags...(or I don't know how to identify them if they are there) Other than the site author saying which modules were used, is there any wa...

Re: Local DB to Remote server
Thank you - It was in the downloads folder, as you said... Now, after I export, do I just go to PHPMyAdmin on my server, select the database I am going to populate, and import? AND, the databases have 2 different names - will that be a problem? (I created the local install of CMSMS first, using the ...

Re: Local DB to Remote server
Yes, I have PHPMyAdmin on both local and server. I have read the documentation, and still cannot find where it saves the file. 1. I select the database in the left column; Then click Export from the tabs across the top. 2. What do I select in the Export Column? (I've selected the SQL radio button)...

Local DB to Remote server
Not knowing anything about MySQL or php, I think this will be an easy answer. I have searched everywhere, but can't find the answer to this specific question: Mac OS10.4.8 MAMP 1.7.1 CMSMS 1.2.2 I have developed the site locally http://localhost:8888/cmsmadesimple/ I have ftp'd this entire local ...

Diff upgrade overwrites folders
I am a newbie, and have successfully been using CMSMS on my localhost. I am running 1.2.2 and read the documentation on upgrading to 1.2.3 using the diff files. This part of the documentation is confusing me, however: Alternatively for patch upgrades, you could download the 'diff' package to your de...
