Re: AdvancedContent : "select_multiple" : sortable="true" -e

Best way is to add the line "$this->SetParameterType('sortable',CLEAN_STRING);" Hello naturelab, I'm curious where you found this workaround. It is unclear to me where this line would be added and whether it will work for all modules with the "parameter ... is not known" problem...

Re: Purpose of the news "Form template" [solved]

Thank you Nullig,

I'll have to try that feature. FEU news submission might be easier for the user than going in through the admin panel. And it will give me greater control over the News form layout.

Best regards, Drew

Purpose of the news "Form template"

Hi folks, I have cmsms 1.6.6 deployed with a custom theme and a modified 'news summary template'. When working the with this template, I noticed the 'Form template'. There is only one active form template named 'Sample'. What is the intended use for this Form template? I have searched the documentat...

Re: How do I start using CMS Made simple?

One thing to consider is your target platform (server) for your installation. This can be a windows or Linux based webserver. A LAMP (Linux, Apache webserver, Mysgl and PHP) style system would serve your needs nicely because most web hosting services also use this configuration. It will make migrati...

Re: Ocean Theme

Ocean has some nice features that I was looking for - thank you for the fine work. I'm quite new to jquery and have poked around jQuery.fn.slideViewerPro.js to see if it has a "fade transition" option.  Is this an available feature or would I have to implement a new method using the jquery...

Re: This years CMSMS sites so far

Nicely done.

I'm curious how you achieved the photo 'fading' on the gearbox site.
Is it a home grown feature or a standard CMSMS extension?

Cheers, Drew

Re: cmsms to wix.com antidotes

Thank you for the kind reply. I feel that a mentoring approach would serve us both well. She has the enthusiasm for achieving our goals so a little big of exposure to customizing and programming CMSMS features should be good learning experience. Explaining the pros/cons of wix and standard website s...

cmsms to wix.com antidotes

Hi folks, I have a bit of a dilemma and would appreciate your perspective on this.  I'm a software engineer that dabbles with website technology and design. I have created a few intranets using wiki software and recently a church website using CMSMS. Now one of our parishioners suggested a site upda...

Re: Need help with horizontal menu using Menu Manager

Let's say that Technista does have extensive CSS knowledge, what would be the general concept to achieve the desired menu behavior.

I'm also interested in a similar menu structure and am just starting to look at coding up this functionality.

Thank you.

Re: CGExtensions - Fatal error during upgrade [Solved]

Got it to work: First open an ssh session and a cmsms admin page for modules. 1. cd public_html/modules 2. tar cvf CGExtensions.tar CGExtensions 3. at Install module via XML file: specify CGExtensions.xml file, check overwrite, do not press submit 4. rm -rf CGExtensions 5. at Install module via XML ...

Re: CGExtensions - Fatal error during upgrade

Thanks for the tip.

Would you know if there is any chance of bricking CMSMS when I attempt to reinstall via "Install module via XML file". i.e. are there any dependencies on CGExtensions for the install to work?

CGExtensions - Fatal error during upgrade [Solved]

Hello, Just upgrade from 1.6.4 to 1.6.6 and everything is working nicely except for CGExtensions module upgrade from 1.17.2 to 1.17.6 All other modules upgraded without issue. This error comes up no matter if the Module manager is used for the upgrade or if Install module via XML file is used:  Fata...

That was it - it is now working nicely!

btw, would you now what video formats are supported by the flvplayer. Is it just for flash videos?
The flvplayer forum looks to be a good place for flvplayer enthusiasts but my French is not so good.

Merci bien

Re: AV Player (Audio Video Player module)

Excuse any double post in this thread. For some reason, my last post appeared twice and deleting one deleted both? mw, Thank you so much for sharing this very useful module. I've been able to install it and create a simple page for playing a 'test.flv' file. But I cannot figure out what I'm doing w...

Enforcing style across all pages

Hi folks, Other than instructing contributors to follow a rigid procedure when composing articles, would cmsms have a standard way or plugin that will insure consistent looking site content? In particular font name/size and line spacing. I don't know how they do it, but there are always a few new pa...
