Page duplication

Hello,

I wanted to create a second home page for my CMS. this second page is just a entry page for a temporary contents kind of thing. so it looks just like my normal home page, with the same content, but with this extra banner and link.

however, when i make a new page, it adds itself to my menu right away. which i don't want it to do. it should be accessible only through an external link. is there a way to do this?

If you don't want a page in the menu, you should go to the options-tab of the page, and uncheck "shown in menu". This way it doesn't show in menu, but it is active and can be linked. This method is also used for resultpages, for search/news to make a page open on a page.
