Suitable for this? Newbies question...

Hi All,

Firstly I'm a java programmer really but I've just been asked to do a site in php and I'm looking for a CMS that fits the bill. I really like the look of cmsmadesimple since I've been messing around with it but am worried about its stability under heavy stress. The site in question is expecting (yes I know - don't they all !) peak hits of around 10,000 a day. Would this cms be able to handle it? If not, would you know of any open-source solutions that perhaps could cater for it.

if the server is up to date and you can install eaccelerator I dont think it would be any problem.

you could set up a test site and do stress testing with ab and or jmeter.
