Hi All,
I would like to have some inputs regarding the best and most widely used open source CMS. We are looking at features like SSL, support for templates, workflow engine, search engine, support for blogs, polls surveys (for future enhancements) etc. Kindly suggest the different CMS options. Also suggest any licensed version CMS.
Thanks
Gouri

Re: Which CMS to use
I spent a lot of time reading at http://www.packtpub.com/2008-open-sourc ... -finalists prior to installing a cmsms.
Note that, once you start getting into a lot of customer participation (like polls), you may want a forum, not a cms. We use cmsms on our website but our vBulletin forum generates most of our traffic. Since the forum does calendars, blogs, polls, etc., we don't have to fool around with all that in the cms.

Hello,
CMSms is licensed under the GPL.

Not all features have the same value. For example you won't like blogs and posts without a spam filter. Think twice what matters most. And there are several levels too : for example from the "workaround workflow engine" to the "World Company workflow engine". You know better than us what is suitable/best for you.gouris wrote: features like SSL, support for templates, workflow engine, search engine, support for blogs, polls surveys (for future enhancements) etc
