CMSMS and e-Commerce? Topic is solved

I'm thinking about using CMSMS for a small e-commerce site to sell t-shirts. I would obviously need something to handle a list of products and a secure shopping cart and payment processing. Has anyone used any of the e-commerce modules? Which is the best and most reliable?

Can you use other open source e-commerce solutions with this CMS or would it take a lot of work to get it working together?

If my site is mainly the store with maybe a few content pages does it even make sense to use a CMS like this or should I search for a straight up e-commerce solution like the ones on here: http://www.opensourcecms.com/

how do you wish to sell them? paypal? full merch account gateway?

Cataloger is a quick and easy way to sell with paypal. not sure about the others.

Kevin, have you searched the forums ? (use Google +site parameter) And the forge ?
There are threads about ecommerce modules, shop, cart, payment... the devs elaborate on features and peer reviews. And they are responsive if you ask precise questions relevant to precise use case of their work.

I suppose it would be a full gateway that would allow straight credit card processing in additional to paypal or others.

It doesn't look like any current solution is really fully developed and reliable so I'm probably going to find an open source e-commerce solution. At least those are designed specifically for this purpose.

Hi, we've just been working with Calguy's Cart module (look in the forge). Works great and is pretty flexible. We've got it hooked up to Paypal. We're not on production server so unfortunatly can't show you what we;ve done but thought you may like to look at Cart.
